We arranged signing authority on my moms accounts for me, to be able to assist her with her banking Saturday the 29th June. We were told that I would be able to collect both cards without my mom being present, after 7 days. We received excellent service, as my mom is on oxygen and can only be off for an hour during the day. We got calls on Friday to collect. I went in to the branch Saturday the 6th to collect the cards. I was turned away because I need a letter from my mom to collect her cards as well. So what does power of attorney mean, i requested to see the person on duty for the banking hall to explain my position, was send to reception. The lady said they need a letter because my mom has to sign on the back of the card. How does n letter put a signature on a card? If i had no POA on the account, i can understand the letter. I am really disappointed in he service and not having a chance to talk to the person on duty. All cards are still at the branch, my mom would not give me POA if I'm not responsible. I will make sure she signs her card! i'm from Pta and my mom stays in Kempton, i can only visit her weekends.
