In 2006 I approached NEDBANK with a software that used bank statements to develop and monitor budgets for consumers.By 2007 I had used this product myself to help me get out of bad debt and buy a house for myself. In 2008, I had further developed the product and needing money to develop cellphone functionality, I went back to NEDBANK and offered it again. in all occasions, Nedbank did not see the value in the product. They signed, in 2006, an agreement that they will not enter into third party agreements for the same product as they realised that it was my copyright, never had been developed before. However, I found out in 2012 that they commissioned 2 companies to develop the same product in phases, in 2009 and 2011. I am disappointed by this by such a reputable bank. I am just a well meaning South African who happens to be innovative and always tries to sell my ideas or find partners to help me develop them further. You hide behind your millions and abuse our good faith which I must say, from a bank, it is a hard pill to swallow.
