On Family Day (Easter Monday), 6th April 2026, we all decided to have a picnic on the lawns of Rhodes Park. We were shocked to find the Memorial Site in a dilapidated, unclean and disshevelled state. Many other visitors were arriving at midday to enjoy the lovely sight-seeing attraction, only to be disgruntled and dismayed at the poor condition of what used to be a beautiful heritage site in Cape Town. Please could the Municipal Department help fix it up.
