Despite numerous phone calls to 140 (Customer Care) I couldn't get the Nano SIM provided with my upgrade phone activated. I ended up cutting my full size SIM just to use the new phone. Phone and SIM received in February.
Numerous unsuccessful attempts later I submit to poor service and visit a Cell C store for a new SIM in July (4 months after receiving the non-working SIM). I explain my predicament to the sales person and he issues me with a new SIM, stating it would be immediately activated.
Upon returning home and loading the new SIM into my phone I discover I've been given a pre-paid SIM with a new number.
I phone Cell C and insist on a new SIM. I'm told I will be sent one. This was on the 2nd of July. Today I'm told my request FOR A NUMBER CHANGE was closed.
I give up. Cell C - please collect the phone and cancel my contract. Speaking to your consultants is an effort in futility. lower call rates - I'll go back to Vodacom where at least the a-b-c are covered..
