Unethical Employees & Selling USED Parts

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated after my recent experience at the Goldwagen Fourways branch. After being a loyal customer for over six years, I feel compelled to escalate this matter due to the appalling treatment I received from the branch manager, Muzamiel.

To put it plainly: I am shocked that someone so immature, condescending, and utterly unprofessional is in a management position. When I questioned where the terms and conditions were displayed, Muzamiel dismissively pointed at an unlabelled QR code and responded with, “It’s 2025 – common sense.” That kind of arrogance is unacceptable, especially coming from someone in a customer-facing leadership role.

I had made a purchase involving multiple ignition-related parts—fuel and spark system items—as we were unsure of the exact issue with the vehicle. I specifically asked at the time of purchase if unused parts could be returned, and Junior at the counter clearly confirmed this. Based on that assurance, I went ahead with the full purchase.

When I returned an unused part, not only was I denied the return, but I was also accused—repeatedly—of lying about what I was told and I was also accused of using the part. Muzamiel insisted that no staff member would ever say that (Although at the time of purchase he WAS NOT PRESENT), which directly implied that I was fabricating the entire interaction. Not once did he attempt to understand the situation or take a professional approach. If they had simply told me that a mistake was made from the team, and that returns are unfortunately not accepted even if the item is unused, I would have understood. Instead, I was met with disrespect and blatant condescension.

It is not about the item value—it’s about the principle. The customer experience was unethical, dismissive, and untrustworthy. Furthermore, I was told during the return that the part I had just bought was “used,” raising a much more serious concern: Is Goldwagen Fourways selling used parts to customers as new? This is not the first time I’ve suspected this, but it is the first time I’m formally raising it. I have attached a photo where you can see the part they sold me was used by someone else prior.

Goldwagen Fourways has now lost a long-standing customer. I will not be returning, and I will be cautioning others about my experience unless this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately.

The refund for other parts I did get, I gave to Junior to give to Muzamiel, He clearly needs it more than I do.
