Last year March I upgraded my mtn contract. I was asked which sim I will use and I gave the number (which was different from my contract number). Last week I dropped the Blackberry Z10 on its face and the screen broke. I was informed by 24 Hour mobility insurance that because my contract sim card was not in the phone they will not pay to repair it. When upgrading and giving MTN the number which I was going to use in my phone, they never once mentioned that should something happen to the phone the insurance will not pay. Both numbers are in my name!!! This is ridiculous and I want my insurance money I paid for the last 10 months back!!! My freaking phone is broken not the sim!!! I also want my insurance cancelled!!! I had to take the phone to a repair company and pay for it myself! In all the years I had my mtn contract I never claimed for or damaged a phone and this is the kind of service I get?? When going back to the shop where I did the upgrade I was informed that I must put my contract sim in the phone for a week and then claim again... in other words I must be corrupt??? As if this was going to help... MTN should sort out their mess!!!
