Delays in Activation of New Contract

I went to Vodacom East Rand Mall on the 31st to get a new phone and contract for my husband. Because he was sim swapping from Cell C to Vodacom they said it would take between 24 and 48 hours to be active. On Saturday evening - after 48 hours - I phoned the call centre 111 and they said they could not find the contract on their system. On Sunday the 3rd I phoned the East Rand Mall and asked what is going on as this is now the 3rd day. They told me some bull dust story that it is not active because of the weekend etc. but it will definitely be active by today late afternoon. At 6 o clock the phone had still not been activated, I phoned the call centre, just to be told that the sim card is still not active but unfortunately that department is closed and I should phone back tomorrow Tuesday the 5th. I really think this service is totally unacceptable as it was a gift - and he has not been able to use it.
