Sim Card Activation

I applied online for my vodacom contract on the 5 Aug 2013, my phone was delivered on the 8 Aug 2013. I have since had much trouble getting my sim activated. I went to the Vodashop in Maynard Mall and was told that it takes 24 to 48 hours which I totally understood and seeing that Friday 9 Aug was a public holiday I expected my line to be active by Monday or Tuesday afternoon for the latest., after calling in to the activation department on Monday and Tuesday I got told a lot of different stories, first my number was deleted. Then an error when they manually try to activate, then I was sent back to the initial person with whom captured my application then back to the activation department and then yesterday at about 14h40 I was told it will be activated in 5 hours and guess what still nothing

I want to keep my old number which is an mtn pre paid number and the port was done last week Monday when I applied for my contract. I don't see why I should call in more than 4 times in one day to be told a different story and why I should follow up periodically only to find out that yet another error has ocured, If there is an error then contact me and tell me. REALLY DISAPPOINTED
