Sim activation

My contract package was delivered 2 days ago and was promised that my account will be active after 5 hrs which has not happened till today. Xoliswa who gave me the terms and conditions and processed my application advised me to insert the micro sim in the device and leave the phone off for 5hrs for the activation process to be through. To my surprise, the sim was not activated. I called in yesterday to find out why my sim was still not active and the agent I spoke to said that I was not supposed to have inserted the sim in the device as that caused the system to cancel the activation process. She then promised me that she activated my sim and not to insert the sim in the device for 5 hrs. I did exactly that!!! I was shocked to find that my sim was STILL not active after 5 hrs. What do I have to do to get this sim activated??? I'm going up and down with a useless phone and a micro sim which can get lost any time anywhere. I'm fedup with Vodacom service and actually, I don't want to continue with the contract as I have already received appalling service, I know that I will be told a different story should I call again and wait for another 5hrs which I'm not prepared to do.
