Vodacom
Faulty Samsung Tablet

5 days after I took Samsung tablet contract with Vodacom, my tablet lost network signal. I phoned Vodacom customer care and was instructed to reset the tablet by switching it off and taking out the sim card, but the sim card could not come out and the person that was helping me over the phone asked me to take it back to have it checked out. On the 7th day since i first had the tablet i took the tablet back to the vodacom shop where i got it. I was told that the sim reader is damaged. I asked the salesperson by the name of Nelson that in this case where i have nothing to do with the damage of the sim card what suppose to happen? He told me that the devise must go for repairs, and said I don't qualify for OBF warranty because firstly the devise is physically damaged and secondly 7 days for OBF had expired. I told him I've got nothing to do with the sim reader damage and secondly mathematically the 7 days period had not expired. I phoned the store manager (Roy) and asked him that since I have been without the devise for 16 days and was never offered a loan devise who is going to pay for that devise end of the month. Roy said I'm still obliged to pay for the devise that i don't have.
