I had my Nissan NP200 booked in for over a month (3 Jan'14 to 6 Feb'14) to have the engine replaced, and for a (2nd) service.
When I went to fetch the vehicle on the 6 Feb'14, I discovered that it has scratches along both doors, side fenders & door sills. The door sills were definately from someone stepping in and out. All scratches had contact marks where something (or another vehicle) had made contact, and the door sills had dirt marks. There were also other patches of dirt all over the vehicle.
The manager, Mr Pieter Uys, upon seeing the vehicle, instantly denied that any of this happened in his workshop. He did not even stop to consider the evidence, he simply, and adamantly denied being responsible.
When I pointed out that the scratches had contact marks, which could be rubbed off, indicating that the marks were new, Mr Uys replied that he would look at getting it buffed, and having Paint-Tech to come have a look. He still however refused to commit to fixing the scratches. I also asked Mr Uys if the vehicle had been washed, and he admitted that it was washed on the previous day. He still did not take responsibility as to why it was dirty and had contact marks and scratches.
