Damaged coffee table

I bought a coffee table from House and Home at East Rand Mall and requested the staff to assemble the table. I collected the table after a day and opened the packaging a week and a half later, as we were in Durban attending a funeral.

We found damage where the staff assembled the table; the screws had broken the marble exactly where the screws are situated. I had to get down on bended knees to see that. The saleslady said she did the inspection of the table from eye level. The damage I found required one to physically be on bended knees to see that the table was broken.
