I recently returned a tumble dryer due to the electricity costs of running it. I gave the 30 days' written notice (via email) as required on 14 July 2025. I was charged a R500 collection fee for returning the machine within six months of taking out the contract, which was collected on a date given by Teljoy, being 14 August 2025.

I was then charged a full month on my debit order for the tumble dryer on 1 August 2025. I received a statement showing a credit for the remainder of August. When I queried how this was going to be refunded to me, as the invoice for September did not take the credit into account, I was told that although the credit was showing on my account, the amount was not due to me!

I feel that this is absolutely not acceptable, but was told that that is how it is and that they would not be adjusting my account to accommodate the credit as it was not my money. I am extremely disappointed with this service and will not be taking any further items from them, and I will no longer be recommending Teljoy.
