Immediate handover after debt counselling

Good day,

I was on debt counselling for a few months and due to improved financial position I cancelled it and emailed all my creditors, including Capitec, immediately to request the latest statement and details from them to set up my debit orders again. They never even replied to my email!!

I tried to obtain a small loan to pay off the arrears amounts immediately but learned that Capitec handed me over the day after my withdrawal from the program. I was then also phoned by the lawyers.

Its not as if I tried to avoid them, I emailed immediately to restore my original payment arrangements and then the only response I get is from a lawyer informing me that I have been handed over?
