Today the sheriff of the court knocked at my door with a emolument attachment order for a debt with capitec bank. The Judgement was issued on behalf of capitec bank through koegelenberg attorneys.
I immediately contacted capitec who confirmed that they have no record of me ever having any debt with them, I then immediately requested a credit report from ITC and there was indeed a judgement, (Plaintiff Capitec Bank) Attorney: Koegelenberg Attorneys,
There is definately a snake in the grass here as I never received any summons or section 129 letter from capitec but I have been listed.
When contacting the attorneys they mentioned that the debt was for my daughter but I was being held liable for it!!!
How is this possible as I never even signed surety for anything, If this matter is not resolved within 7 days I will have no alternative but to seek legal assistance with this matter and costs will be for capitec's account.
I will also be reffering the matter to the NCR and have already sent through a dispute form to ITC.
I am absolute disgusted in Capitec Bank!
