So I have a loan with Capitec Bank which I took at the end of 2010, just after taking the loan the I had financial problems which forced to go under debt review. A few months later, things were stabilising, so I cancelled the debt review process and thereafter I contacted all my creditors to make payment arrangements.
Then my Capitec Loan was handed over to Koegelenberg Attorneys, whom I then had to make an arrangement with, which I did.
Now because I was determined to get my credits sorted and get my name clear on ITC, I decided to register with Transunion and paid just over R200 to get access to my credit record whenever I need it. On this report I was surprised to note that according to it (and Capitec whom I later phoned to confirm) I owed just over R5000, whereas Koegelenberg Attorneys was adamant that I owe just over R13000.00! I raised my concern in this regard with telecom to Capitec who could not give me a definite and tangible explanation expect for that "my account has been handed over to Koegelenberg Attorneys and I must speak to them". So there and then I decided not to make any more payments.
I tried in April this year to resolve BUT received the same story!
