I took a loan from Capitec in 2009. after my financial problem i was in debt review. In 2011 i realised that debt review is not helping at all I cancelled them and decided to pay my creditors by myself. My first creditors I cleard was Capitec Bank loan. I went to Alexandra branch and aksed for the settlement amount ad settled my loan with capitec. On the 14th of November 2013 I recieved a call from Capitec Bank Lawyers told me that I owe Capitec Bank R2000.00. I went to Hillbrow branch ato lias with them. I explain everything to them and they told me that after I cancelled Debt review they didnt recieved any payment from me. I was soo shocked and disapointed at the same time. I asked the concultant to double because I did pay them in 2011 or 2012 but she said nop I didnt pay. She asked me to produce a proof. I told her that I dont have proof but if she can check carefully she will see my payment but she said no nothing I never pay. I'm soo confused & scared because i'm using capitec bank this year. How come my money can dissapear & why they never call me and advise that i'm still owing them after a year or so... this is not acceptable.
