On 21 September 2025, I handed in three rings at Sterns at the East Rand Mall to be amended: one gold ring and two silver rings. On 23 September, they phoned me and informed me that the cost for the amendments would be R1231.65. I asked the lady for a breakdown of the costs for each ring. I accepted the quote and requested that she please call me back to specify the cost for each ring. They never called me back.
On 29 September, they notified me that my rings were ready for collection. When I arrived at Sterns, East Rand Mall, I was told that the cost for the gold ring was R1231.65 and that the cost of the silver rings was separate. Both silver rings had to be amended in the same way. However, the cost for one is R600 more. The manager of Sterns was not interested in even talking to me. They did not give me one ring back because they want to force me to pay the ridiculous price (which I did not even agree to). I was told that they would follow up and give me feedback on 30 September 2025. That also did not happen. Really bad service from Sterns at East Rand Mall.
