I have been attempting to contact Vodacom's cancellations department since yesterday (082 1958) - I remain on hold for quite some time (while listening to 'Gangnam Style' repeatedly) and then the call gets disconnected. As a result I may potentially have to stay on my contract for another two months instead of the 1 month given for notice, since today is the 1st of the month. This is really unacceptable. When I went into a Vodacom outlet yesterday (Vodacom 4 u in Galleria) I was told I HAVE to cancel by phone, they cannot assist with this.
I was planning to cancel this contract and move onto prepaid with Vodacom so that I could use this as my second number, while taking out a new contract with Vodacom for the iPhone 5 for business purposes.
Seems I will have to rethink my service provider.
