I did a contract upgrade. I picked the phone up at 12h00 and when I unpacked it that evening it would not recognise a sim card. Took it in to Vodacom at 09h00 and they confirmed the problem.
They then tell me that I have to wait SEVEN WORKING DAYS while they decide whether to repair or replace the phone with which I haven't been able to send an SMS or make even one phone call.
I am told the Consumer Protection act supercedes any contract in this regard... I am entitled to the choice of an immediate replacement, repair or refund!!
Of course trying to speak to anyone at Vodacom is an exercise in futility... as we all know.
