I was contacted by the MBD attorneys to settle two of my FinChoice accounts. I then requested a settlement quote for both accounts. Unfortunately, I mistakenly overpaid one account by an extra R9000. On the 19th of January 2026, I requested a refund so I could settle the other account that I'm still owed. To date, I have not received my refund, nor have I received any clear explanation as to why I have not received my refund even after 72 hours, as stated in their auto-response email. I am getting frustrated as I get harassed by the MBD call centre requesting me to settle the other account when they still owe me the R9000, with no assistance or response to my emails.
