Illogical repair / replacement system

I've upgraded my contract with Vodacom to iPhone5s from a Blackberry. A sim swop was done to the new nano simcard and my Blackberry passed on to my sister. Upon first use of the iphone the battery drained within a few hours (with phone on standby) and got extremely hot. Due to the nature of my work I use my phone 24hours a day as means of communication and needed a solution other than charging my phone every hour. When I reported to vodacom the ONLY ONLY POSSIBLE solution they had was to collect my phone (within 2 to 3 working days) THEN take it back for testing THEN supply me with a new one. All of this could easliy take a week or even more without me having a phone whatsoever. The 3 vodacom shops around me all had stock of the same phone at that time but you can ONLY replace the phone where you got it from even if you now stay in Cape Town but got it from Johannesburg. Seems like Vodacom is now thousands of small individuals, they don't do teamwork anymore. I won't ask who thought of that illogical idea? Thus, it left me having to buy a new simcard, do another sim swop PLUS by a new cheap phone to use while I wait for them... FANTASTIC VODACOM. Last upgrade with YOU!!!
