Handset broke twice in less than a year!!!

Can anyone help me please? I received my new Sony Experia S in March 2013 on a Vodacom Top Up 200 contract. The handset went faulty in Sept 2013. I sent it in for repairs and received it back after a month and Vodacom promised me that it will take two weeks and that the handset will be in full working condition when I get it back. The phone is now faulty AGAIN. I was in big trouble with my employer today because he couldn't get hold of me. I don't want the handset anymore and I cannot send it in for repairs again as I cannot be without a handset at my current employer. What can I do???
