I upgraded my contract in December 2012. After being contacted numerous times by Vodacom to please upgrade.
The new blackberry handset started giving problems (software related) within the first 2 weeks of receiving the handset. I took the handset to Vodacom end of January to book it in for repairs, after receiving confirmation from their onsite blackberry specialist that it is definitely software issues. A MONTH later I receive another person's refurbished handset. I immediately submitted it back to Vodacom requesting either my own phone refurbished or a new handset. Another month has gone past. Today (08March2013) Vodacom confirmed that they have received another refurbished handset as a replacement for my original handset. I will NOT pay a new handset's monthly premium and actually have to use a secondhand handset. If this is the case, then I want to cancel my contract!!! If this is the way Vodacom operates, then I will definitely move to another service provider!
