upon checking my mtn statement, i noticed an amount charged as content charge, and after checking with mtn, i was told that i had subscribed for a service called whurup or something like that, and i have no knowledge of subscribing for this service.
mtn gave me no to phone to get them to unsubscribe which i have done but my point is that (MTN has broken my trust) its been such a bad feeling to find out that we put our trust in MTN being a responsible co and have been dealing with them for over 10 years and now to go through all this drama and uncalled for head ache. i have heard of stories like this, but to have it happen to you, leaves a terrible taste in my mouth.
from time to time i do get these type of SMS but i just delete them.
is it not that these co's have to get your consent before you sign on to these services?
also how do these co's get our cell no's to send us these sms.???
it is really unfair that these co's take advantage of innocent subscribers like us
basicly these co's, in conjuction with MTN have been catching us innocent subscribers in a very cunning and unscrupulous manner.
