I have two MTN business contracts. In May 2013 someone renewed my one of my contracts and took delivery of a R10, 000.00 handset from MTN without any proof of identity or documentation. The contract went from a R325.00 discounted business contract to a R935.00 normal contract. Then to my surprise after querying the additional R1, 200.00 debit orders coming off my bank account, I found out that someone has also opened a new contract in my name! (HOW???) I have emailed and phoned MTN and they say they will investigate. I receive no feedback. All that happens is that I get debited the additional R1, 800.00 per month!
MTN does not seem concerned which tells me that this a regular occurrence and they will continue to charge the customer for the loopholes in their system! MTN isn't being defrauded, the customers are!
