I purchased a new iphone from MTN Direct it was delivered on Friday. today I called the callcentre to have the new chip sim activated. I was told by the agent that the old sim will be deactivated and the new sim will start working and because it is a sim swop it will take a short period than the normal 2-24hours to activate, but as soon as the old sim stops working my new sim will be activated. A couple hours later i check my phone only to find that the old sim has been deactivated for some time with no one being able to get through to me and the new sim was not activated. I called the call centre again and was told i need to wait 2-24hours for the new sim to be activated so i asked why was my old sim deactivated then because i have no phone now. The agent apologised and sorry i should not have been told that by the previous agent because when they deactivate a sim the other sim is not reactivated immediately.

My problem is I have no phone now, because someone from the call centre did not advise me about it.
