To save myself R150 I decided to do my upgrade online on 30.4.2013, surprisingly on 3.5.2013 RAM rocked up to deliver my order however my excitement was short lived as the phone was delivered in white when the order was for black. I immediately sent it back and called vodacom as per the RAM delivery guy's advice. I was told they'd have to wait for an R number (which should be received by 6.5.2013) before getting the correct phone sent, I called on 7.5.2013 received a service request, followed up 10.5.2013 and was told I'd get a call back before 4.30pm as I should've received the phone by now, which I never got. So decided to call now again - and now the person at the UPGRADE TELEPHONE NUMBER can't tell me anything except this - they need an R number and have never placed an order so can't assist me. But they can give me RAM's telephone number to phone them and find out - since when is it MY job to phone RAM and follow up on this? And the service request number is just showing as pending? What's the point of having a number for upgrade assistance but the person on the phone can't assist or tell me anything more? I would like my phone delivered asap.
