Ever tried doing a upgrade by phone or online?

I am a Vodacom contract customer and I have been trying for 4 days to order an upgrade. Firstly I did it on line 3 days ago and they should have called me back but so far no response. Then I called their upgrade number 0821959 and they told me that the deal I had seen on their website was not on their system and they would put me through to another sales dept. Once I got through, they did not have the deal for the same price as advertised on their website - they said that it is only for new customers (they were not sure)! They took my number and said I would get a call back. That was 2 hours ago and still nothing. I eventually gave up and called a Vodashop who confirmed that the deal and handset I want is available to upgrade customers - the only difference is that I would have to pay R150 upgrade fee whereas doing it directly with Vodacom would not cost anything but I would have to wait 3 to 5 days for delivery. I am going to the Vodashop later this afternoon to do the deal and get my phone - and will gladly pay the R150. The time I have spent on the phone with uninformed and incompetent Vodacom staff has cost me much more than that. Thank goodness for Vodashops!!
