Misled when doing upgrade over the phone

Vodacom phones me on 07/03/2013 to inform me that I can do a upgrade on my contract. "Because you are a valued customer we want to offer you the following, and so it goes on. When you say O that is nice and do I get a new phone if I do the upgrade the person on other end only says Yes we can offer you the Blackberry Curve and where can we deliver the phone. Today 09/04/2013 I receive my account via e-mail and to my surprise there is an amount of R44.00 extra for Sundry Charges for 24 Months Handset Instalment. When I phone Vodacom they say yes it is for your new phone. I told them that I would like to cancel the upgrade and give the phone back as I can do an upgrade at Game or Makro, receive a phone for free as well as a voucher that I can spend on anything. Then they put me through to the upgrade department and when I request to speak to someone in my language the take my number and say the will call me back. No one has phoned me back all day. So in other words this is the most expensive upgrade that I have ever done. I have a good mind to cancel my contract in total and get a contract at Cell C or Mtn.
