EliteMobile falsifying/misleading clients

I received a call on Thursday 9 May 2013 from an Elite Mobile call center agent informing me that my cellphone contract was due for an upgrade. I have two contracts with Vodacom and just had upgraded the one which was due, but he was calling about the other one. After receiving this call, I asked the agent whether he was sure that the number he had given me was in fact the correct number which was due for an upgrade and he responded by confirming this. I thought that this was strange because I know that my phone is only due in November this year, but thought that they have some special arrangement between Vodacom and Elite mobile. We then proceeded to go through the upgrade process and even received an order number. This morning (2013/05/13), I decided to call to find out what the tracking number was, only to be told that Vodacom has told them that my phone was only due for an upgrade in November. So why are these people phoning around and telling people that they are due for an upgrade when in fact they are not! There should a law against comapanies doing this.
