I joined another gym in January of this year since they are situated closer to my current employer and residence. To my disgust Planet fitness just started debiting me in June of this year, a full 7 Months after they could supposedly not find me on there system. I have tried to contact them but end up being sent around or holding on the line for ever. I have also reversed their debit order 3 consecutive times and to my knowledge it is illegal to debit a '"client" after a reversal of 2 debit orders. I now sit with the inconvenience of paying bank fees for reversals and being debited on deferent dates with different amounts that ranged from R 998 rand o R20 numerous times. I am considering taking legal action if I am not contacted or advised from Planer fitness on this matter. I would have had no issue with the matter if my membership continued normally when I was no longer a member of Vitality but the current situation is really very unethical.
