In June 2013 as a Discovery/Vitality member I was given the opportunity to join a gym and I decided to choose Planet Fitness in Cape Town CBD.
I was told that my once off payment of - R800 was due to Vitality and not Planet Fitness. I then contacted Vitality to arrange payment of this once off amount. They (Vitality) then informed me that Planet Fitness is responsible for taking this payment. I then informed my account manager at Planet Fitness and was told that he would get back to me.
4 months later I am having Planet Fitness debit my back account for amounts of R3000 (returned debit order) and R350 for December and January.
This is after I informed them that I did not agree to any 12 month contract.
What about "the customer is always right"
I am hoping that Planet Fitness is willing to have this matter resolved ASAP.
