Incompetence resulting in!

On Friday afternoon I went to East Rand Mall Edgars branch and purchased three items, I knew that I had about R800 credit left. The cashier scans the items and stares at the computer screen and then scans the next item staring at the screen again etc. She then tells me that I need to pay an additional R27 because I had insufficient credit, without checking I handed over my credit card. As soon as the reciept printed I checked the amounts billed and noted the error, where the shoes were clearly marked R499, they had scanned as R550. The cashier took a "bad attitude" to being told off and then wanted to reverse the R50 into my account. I was not happy with this and insisted that the R27 deducted from my credit card be returned to my credit card. In a similar vein about three weeks ago I bought my husband three shirts at Edgars Eastgate, the monitor was slightly turned and I noticed that the cashier had scanned one shirt twice, this ensued in a heated argument whereby I had to force her to check the barcode numbers. The monitors are not placed where they are visible to customers and the LAZY staff have no interest in checking and correcting when you are overcharged! or Not
