EDGARS - NO INVOICE, NO CREDIT

My husband bought a queen bale pack (R599-00) and two single bed sheets (R99-00 each) approximately
6 weeks ago and he possibly paid cash. The items were for our new holiday home but he purchased the wrong sizes. This we only discovered after we took occupation of the home a week ago. We decided to take the
items back to Edgars for credit but couldnt find the invoices. Both the assistant and the manager advised
that Edgars' policy is 30 days only on returns. If you cant provide an invoice for purchases over R500, you need to provide a debit or credit card with which you possibly made the purchase so that they can check it on their system. Next problem is, what date EXACTLY did you make the purchase. If you cant remember the date, they check through all the sales of every day to check whether your debit or credit cards match up against any of their sales for that period.
I took back two items to Mr Price Home R249-75 without an invoice and the procedure was
simple - credited against a gift card.

All three items purchased from Edgars are still in their original sealed packaging and Edgars
price labels are still on the items.
Surely if Mr Price Home can, Edgars can! :(
