On Thursday 27 June 2013, my wife and her friend visited the Kingsmead shoe store at Carnival Mall. Had it not been for the fact that my wife really wanted a pair of Tsonga shoes, she would have walked out.
She selected the shoes that she wanted to try on; she then asked the sales representative, who was having a thick conversation with her store buddies, if she could have the specific size for the shoes she was interested in. The sales lady took the shoes from her, without uttering a word, fetched and brought back the correct size, placed the box on the counter (even though my wife was standing right in front of her) nodded her head and tapped with her hand on the box. Thereafter, she turned around and resumed her conversation with her store buddies. No hello. No thank you. No "I'll be right back". Nothing.
This type of service is insulting and degrading. You, as a customer, are treated like a child and are ignored. Service is non-existent. My wife will never go back to this store; we'll make sure to advise anyone and everyone we encounter to steer clear of Kingsmead Shoes.
