I procured a set of Men's Bronx Shoes, item No. 470105842 from the Kingsmead Shoes Galleria Branch on the 1st of May 2013. Invoice No. 2611136642.
I proceeded to the Branch on the 26 January 2014 to return the pair I had purchased, as the front part of the sole of the shoe was coming apart. I was astounded to be informed that they could not assist me, as the 6 months guarantee period has lapsed. I was not made aware of this six month policy when purchasing the shoe, nor is it displayed in-store, nor is it on the sales invoice.
The store advised that I should purchase some shoe glue or a new pair.
I have purchased a number of shoes from Kingsmead Shoes, and this is the first instance that a shoe I have purchased has required attention. It is prejudicial for the store to apply the policy to me as I was not made aware of this policy in the first instance as enumerated above.
In trust that my unresolved dispute will receive the due and necessary attention.
