Faulty unit

My tracking device was fitted in 2011 at Menlyn branch to a Kia Sportage TLG313GP. I lost the cellphone number that is used to test the unit when my own cellphone was in March 2013. On recovery of the unit cellphone number I discovered that the unit was not responding when I test it. I called the support department on 10 December 2013 to report it. On 17 Dec 2013 I was told that the matter was referred to their legal department as it shows that in early 2013 the unit was upgraded whereas I was contacted or informed of the upgrade. They are deducting my money monthly whereas I don't get the service as my car is now at risk without a working unit. The legal department was suppose to call me early Jan 2014 and to date nothing happened. Now I am selling the Sportage and want the unit to be transferred to the other car and they are taking me from pillar to post. I want my money back for the duration when the unit was suppose to be upgraded but upgrade wasn't done since no service consultant came to work on my car.
