I have just spent this morning making numerous phone calls and sending e-mails. I have tracking unit from Netstar in my vehicle. I was told this morning that the unit is faulty and i need a fitment center to check it out. I get referred to the nearest one in my area. They tell me that they cannot help as they did not fit my unit. I need to contact the fitment center that fitted the unit. I informed Netstar, they ask me if i remember who fitted the unit!
So if you have a Netstar unit that is under warranty, Netstar does not honour the warrant. The fitment center that fitted the unit can only honour the warranty!
And they claim to have a "national presence", it doesnt apply when it comes to servcing or repairing a faulty unit. So if this happens to you and you are on Holiday in another province, then you have to drive back home to the center that fitted the unit for assistance. And you need to remember who fitted it!
So there is no warranct from Netstar, it is from the fitment center! And it is ONLY from the fitment center that fitted the unit! So if the fitment center goes out of business what happens to the "warranty"?
