Efficient and friendly service

I've been waiting too patiently for my new ID book to be issued (recognising me as an SA citizen). I phoned the official call centre AGAIN today (0800601190 - I've been phoning religiously every two weeks for the last 5 months!) only to get shunted again by a very rude call centre agent. In sheer desperation I phoned the Paarl Home Affairs office (who originally made the application for me) to ask them to intervene. Ms. Randy Williams took my call straight away, checked my ID number and smiled over the phone - she had checked on the status of my application yesterday (proactively!). She knew exactly who I was and explained the process simply and clearly. What a pleasurable experience! A HUGE shout-out to Ms. Williams and great service from Paarl Home Affairs.
