Specialist Authorisation and getting feedback

In march the pain from my wisdom teeth became unbearable. I wanted to ensure Discovery would cover the procedure before going for it. I sent emails to them to find out what I had to do, they replied. On the 14th of April I sent an email again as I wasstill unsure about a few things. I then got a call from a lady who explained to me that the procedure will be covered and that I do not need authorisation to see the specialist for the first consultation. I told her that I have a great fear of visiting the Maxillo facial surgeon and then being told that it is not covered. She suggested that I go and see my GP to get a refference from him and to then get authorisation as a precaution. I did not feel much pain after that and was busy with my new job, so I left it there. I went to visit my GP on the 4th of June to get the authorisation. I then got an SMS saying that I DO NOT need Authorisation. I saw the Maxillo and then received abill. Emailed Discovery 13June as to why they did not cover it. NO REPLY TILL TODAY! I phoned call centre today and was cut off while I was placed on hold. Have not been phoned back yet!
