On 4 January 2013 my doctor referred me to a specialist. Document was sent to Discovery Health for authorisation, during my visit. Discovery acknowledged and promise feedback. An appointment for the visit to specialist was made by my doctor, as date needed to be provided with referral form. Discovery did not respond again. On 5 February I requested feedback, but was informed that further information was needed. Matter was referred back to my doctor by Discovery. On 8 March I again requested an authorisation number to submit a claim, as I have visited the specialist as per appointment on 7 January, the date provided to Discovery. Discovery responded that no decision has been made, but matter was referred to relevant department. To date I have not received the authorisation number to submit the claim for the visit. It is policy to give feedback within 48 hours, but this matter has been dragging for more than 3 months.
