On 12/01/2013 I had drawn money from my acount. On 13/01/2013 I went to Pick 'n Pay swiped my card and the transaction went through, an hour later I went to draw money than my card declined where the slip show account closed. I went and phoned the call center where they said they closed my account due to Fica I need to go into the bank and provide them with my addres ect. I had done this already in June and in Sept again when I got married. I did not received any sms or notification that I had to update my details. There I was stranded at the petrol station luckly I did not yet put in petrol but what an imbaressment will that be. When I called the called centre the lady (she did not even gave her name) was laughing that I call RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE from ABSA. My account is now 11 years with them and never had such bad service I will never say any good from ABSA and change my account straitght away to another bank that will provide me with better service. My argument is that I had swiped my card the and just after the transaction went through my card was stopped
