ABSA stopped my bank card without ANY notificatio

ABSA stopped my bank card without informing me as their client, I was unable to use my card at all and I Don't bank with any other banks and Had no cash on me.

Apparently they were supposed to notify me that I need to come into the bank to FICA my account, by showing a Proof of Address, so firstly NO sms, NO email, NO written notification was given to me. How dare a bank just stop you from drawing your own money?!!

I just recently purchased a car through finance with them... and even better we just recently purchased a house through ABSA in November 2013, surely they then received MORE THAN enough proof of address to Fica my account and then to top it off I have been into the bank to change my last name on my account etc... so WHY didn't anyone think of mentioning the fica process to me or NOTHING??

I am so off with ABSA, my husband and I have said if they ever do that again I will draw every last cent we have in their bank and take our money else where. They inconvenienced me so much I am heavily pregnant and had sit in bank where no one could do anything to help, I couldn't draw money to pay for parking to leave the centre nothing!!
