Bank card swiped twice

Yesterday we put petrol @ Prima Service Station t/a Total Northriding & my card was swiped twice. 1st transaction cashier said it got declined though i received a notification that my money went off my account. My card had to be swiped for the 2nd time & another notification came, money going out again for the 2nd time for the same service station, for same transaction. My husband approached a guy by the name of Pasta who refused to refund us insisting the transaction will reverse @ night & it never did. Even now when i log on my account, reversal is not done. May I please get my money back & they should fix the problem unlike when Pasta is telling me to call my bank as if I made the mistake.
