ABSA debit-card payments lost

I have recently-at ABSA's request-been issued with a new chip card as my debit card. I was given no specific instructions with this card & was told it works in the same way as my previous card.

On 7/01/2013 I went to Mimmos, Waverley to buy pizza which cost R110-00. They swiped my card & I put my pin in & was then told that they needed to swipe it again as it had said error. However I had received notification from ABSA that the money had been deducted from my account-notify me service on my cell. Mimmo's can't find the transaction on their side for the first transaction. So I ended up paying twice.

I then went to ABSA Queenswood in my lunch hour on 8/01/2013 where I was told that an email would be sent & that ABSA would reverse the 1st of the two transaction as I had paid double. I was also guaranteed that this would be sorted within 3-4 working days-it's a week later & I have still not even had an sms/ref number regarding this issue.

On the 12/01/2013 I used my card again to pay for two movie tickets at Numetro, Menlyn that came to an amount of R100-00. Yet again the same thing happened and had to pay twice.

after mutiple branch visits my problem is yet to be solved
