Its with great sadness and disgust I write this email to you. I received an sms from my phone that R500, R400 and R69.99 Stop order has been debited in my account on Saturday and at that time I was at home. I thought maybe it was a mistake, then I went to the ATM to withdraw money but it showed I had insufficient funds meaning the above debits went through. I went straight to my branch carlton centre, I explained what had happened and they checked for me. this lady who was checking she told me I'm not the first person who has complained about this but its not or anything like that it's the debit transaction I had swiped months ago its now that they going through. I asked her but how so cause I have never swiped this amount of money when I don't have money in my card, all the debits I made I always have money in my account and I receive sms for every transaction. She said it happens because in my case I swiped in Absa speedpoint so Absa had a problem its now that they taking their money.
Its been 5years since I had an account with Standard bank but this is the first time this happens and why should Absa's problem be my problems because when I swiped my card I had money in my
