What is going on?? CONCERNED!!

All my notes made regarding this problem where on my phone which was in Dec 2012 so my facts regarding amounts and dates might be askew. I went to the branch and requested the balance outstanding as i wanted to close this account. The couldn't help to as my card information was with the Legal Dept as i was under Debt Review. I called the next working day which was a Monday and requested the balance, i paid the balance which was roughly R800 and called the Legal Dept again and requested to close this account. Was informed to call the next day as the payment was not yet reflecting which i did and was informed that my payment was now reflecting and i requested the account be closed. She told me that i could go to the branch and close it there or she could do it. I requested she do it as i was not able to get to the branch anytime soon. She informed that she had submitted the cancellation and ended the call. i have now received and email from external collectors stating that FNB have handed me over for non-payment?! WHAT?? I refuse to accept this poor service and want this corrected immediately.
