On Sunday 20th I got involved in an accident and the day after, I contacted MiWay & dealt with Katlego Sibanda. However, two days later Katlego was removed from the claim and Manda Sims (claims assessor) took over.
Manda Sims requested my traffic fines, credit history, credit card statements and made me go back to the accident scene to take pictures of the accident scene. She had a bad attitude and I really felt racially discriminated.
Riaan Bryuns (Manda Sims' manager) accused me of driving under the influence of alcohol although I was never breathalysed or my blood sample taken. MiWay assumes that when a black African man drives a car he is already drunk and there is no need for a breathalyser or blood sample. My claim was then rejected based on this.
Carick Muller (disputes assessor) made me feel marginalised and treated me badly. MiWay will look for any possible reason to reject your claim especially if you are black African. MiWay assumes that all black Africans are guilty until they are proven innocent.
In the light of this, anyone considering insuring his or her vehicle with MiWay has to think twice about doing so because MiWay discriminates against black Africans.
