I have a policy with MiWay and my policy number is 23222299. I was involved in a terrible accident on Saturday, 16 November 2013, where the taxi driver crushed into me and fled the scene of the accident. I immediately called MiWay and informed them of my ordeal and then called the police so a case could be opened. The person I spoke to on Saturday was Sicelo Maseko.
He promised to call me on Monday morning to finalise the claim. However, I waited to no avail. I then called the claims department and they told me to take my car to Cornright Motors - Midrand and was given a reference number as well. When I got there, the Panel beaters told me to go to Miway for an assessment. I took my car to Miway and the assessor told me that he will send that assessment and quotation to claims within 10 minutes. I have been calling claims and no one seems to be helping me.
All they do is make me run around with a damaged car. I am frustrated and traumatised as it is and Miway is not making me feel any better about this. Anyone with sense in their head at Miway, please help urgently.
